A shadow fell over the sleeping beast and its whiskers twitched.
“Is this the fearsome carnivore
Sprawled across the sunlit floor?
Mandibles of violent death.
Steely eyes, and fierce breath
Reduced to stripey puddle and rumbly snore?
A big kitty-witty and nothing more.
The little boy walked away cackling. The tiger managed to roll his eyes without opening them.
