Keitaro, Mutsumi and Naru stood at the entrance of a large old brick college campus building, and looked up at its ivy-covered walls.

Mutsumi stood between Keitaro and Naru, and held her arms around her friends' shoulders. "This is only another prep exam... but it's another step forward in our lives. And after all the hours we've studied together, all our hard work is about to pay off. I know we're going to do just fine!"

"We're doomed," Keitaro said.

"We're going to fail miserably," Naru said. "And we're going to die alone, unmourned and unloved."

"ara ara," said Mutsumi.
