Belldandy and Keiichi were strolling through a wooded area near the temple. But then, Belldandy suddenly froze. "Don't move," she whispered.

Several strange bird-like apparitions suddenly appeared to Keiichi's mortal vision. "What are they?" he whispered back, as they drew near.

"Tengu," Belldandy said. "Ancient Japanese mountain spirits. They are not malevolent, but we must greet them properly, or they might take offense."

And then, Belldandy crossed her eyes, stuck out her tongue, and began to babble. "Ooh! Eee! Ooh ahh ahh! Ting tang walla walla bing bang!"

Keiichi sighed. These must be very silly spirits, he thought to himself.
