[June 8, 2007][Original] Sala's Expectations
Title: Sala's Expectations
Day/Theme: June 8, 2007 "for he that is not against us is for us"
Series: Original
Character/Pairing: Sala and comrades
Rating: PG-13
"What was the first thing you noticed about Sala when we met her?" Faewyn asked his comrades in a sly and conspiratorial tone.
"Her hair."
"Her boobs."
"How short her skirt was."
Having remarked on the on the young woman's skirt himself, he looked from Haleno to Laionel. "Alright, who said 'her hair?'"
"Well, it's white!" Laionel protested, "And she's not sixty-five! I've never seen anything like it before! It's so exotic!"
Faewyn had to give him that. He too had never seen hair like it.
And while the men of the group contemplated her wiles, Sala was busy turning down yet another would-be suitor and contender for "most evil."
"You're not the most evil man alive," Sala told him bluntly, "You're not ever the most evil man in your age group, old man!"
The black-robed man jumped up. "Not the most evil?! I'll take you by force and then we'll see who's the most evil!"
Sala yawned and politely covered her mouth with her tiny hand. "I don't think that's going to do it. The most evil man alive, Kesar Turen, would've already kidnapped me and taken me back to his black palace where he would've ravished me with so much style and so much dramatic agony, I would've been smitten by his evil and power and so would stay by his side forever."
At this wild description (which honestly made the man believe this was what she wanted), her would-be suitor paled. "Forgive my impertinence!" he begged, bowing before the skinny woman and then running away, back to wherever he had come from.
"Who was that?" Haleno wondered aloud, briefly catching sight of the departing man.
"Sala, are you okay?" Laionel blustered, preparing to run after the mystery man if necessary.
"I'm fine," Sala reassured them, "You don't have to go after him, Laionel. It was just a random visitor who wanted to talk to me."
"Well," Faewyn sighed, "Just so long as she wasn't against us."
Sala giggled, but said no more, leaving her comrades slightly puzzled.
