spreading through my body
one heart-stopping inch at a time

bloodsmell
so close
all around me
coppery
dark
promise of life

I won't use his
after what that bastard did
to her

dying
slowly
it hurts
so much
but at least
she's alive

then hands
warm on me
pulling me upright
holding me

stars sparkling
no
not stars
tears
in her eyes
weeping for me

what is she
heartbeat pounds in my ears
not mine
hers

I can't
I'll kill her
I'd rather die

her hands
in my hair
pulls my head down
strong pulse
beneath my lips

her life
fills me
her song
sustains me

sweet
hot
blood
salty 
cold
tears

becoming heavy in my arms
slowly fading to white
but I can't 
make myself
let
go
