[May 18] [Final Fantasy VI] Weapon
Title: Weapon
Day/Theme: May 18/a laboratory for thought experiments
Series: Final Fantasy VI
Character/Pairing: Kefka, Terra
Rating: PG
Word Count: 166
Note: Canon seems to indicate that Terra lost her memory when the slave crown came off. But since they had it on her in the first place, I'm hypothesizing that she could have lost it earlier, or at least that they could have done something to her brain at another point.
"What do you remember?" Kefka Palazzo asks his victim in a drawling tone.
"I don't remember anything," she replies in a flat, even tone.
"What do you know?"
"I don't know anything." But now emotion is creeping in as she views her surroundings, the large metal tables covered with mechanisms she doesn't recognize.
"Where am I?" she asks, trying to move her bound hands and feet.
"Don't become frantic, Terra. This is my weapons laboratory, and you're my weapon."
She reaches up to her head and finds metal there. "Is that my name? Terra?"
"Yes, I have decided to leave you with your name."
Terra shakes her head wildly, feeling the metal press into her temples. "What else have you taken from me?"
"Everything. Including emotion. Yet I think I didn't remove enough of that after all."
He adjusts a dial, and Terra stiffens and then falls limp.
"What do you feel?" he asks with amusement in his voice.
"I don't feel anything."
Kefka laughs.
