Kyon turned from his desk, and found Haruhi silently scowling to herself behind him. "Problem?" Kyon asked.

"I wish we didn't have to wear school uniforms." Haruhi said. "Everybody looks alike."

"You are allowed to wear your head-band," Kyon said. "That sets you apart."

"But I should be able to wear what I want!" Haruhi said. "I could wear a white blouse, a simple skirt, and a nice pair of shoes..."

"As opposed to the white blouse, simple skirt, and nice pair of shoes you're wearing now?" Kyon asked.

"Do not mock the SOS Brigade leader's fashion sense," Haruhi growled.
