Kyon was slouching in his usual club-room seat, but he over-heard Haruhi giggling to herself from her front desk.

"What are you suddenly so pleased about?" Kyon asked, not really wanting to know.

"Oh, I was just thinking about how smoothly and efficiently I claimed all of you for my club," Haruhi said smugly.

"We're not your property, you know," Kyon growled.

"Of course you are," Haruhi said. "What good were you doing before I claimed you, anyway?"

Kyon abruptly stood up. "WHAT!?"

"Kyon, you shouldn't deliberately provoke her!" Itsuki whispered urgently.

"What about HER deliberately provoking US!?" Kyon yelled.
