[May 3] [Sports RPF] Water Is Just Liquid Ice
Title: Water Is Just Liquid Ice
Day/Theme: May 3/e la chiamano estate!
Series: Sports (speedskating) RPF
Character/Pairing: Sven Kramer, Enrico Fabris
Rating: PG (for being on crack)
Sven hadn’t thought it could be him, at first. Just someone else with that half-long dark hair, that slender feminine-but-not waist, that inexplicable clumsy accidental grace. But it was, on second thought (helped by an enthusiastic greeting and one of those characteristic careful half-smiles), unmistakably Enrico Fabris. ‘Hi,’ was all he managed in return.
Enrico’s gaze shifted to the almost empty pool. ‘What do you say? Ten laps?’ Sven noticed the words came more fluently than ever, and definitely more so than two weeks ago.
‘Er…’ There was a new situation: the most talkative member of a conversation being Enrico.
‘It’s just molten ice, you know,’ Enrico said, and grinned. ‘Well, mostly. Sort of. Want to race or not?’
‘Okay, sure.’ He preferred swimming in natural water, but this would do. Even though appealing to his competitiveness was almost cheating. ‘Are we swimming for something in particular?’
‘Honour not enough for you?’
‘I beat you all the time, give me a challenge.’
