If Ban had thought about it, it wouldn't have made sense. All of the people in Mugenjou should have known Raitei, not Ginji. They should have been accustomed to the thunder-harsh temper, the quick flares of anger, the stern fury of judgement. Those who knew him best should have known nothing else.
They should have been surprised to see Ginji so happy and so carefree. They should have had trouble recognising him.
Ban never did think about it. Nobody ever did, after all, when Ginji smiled at them, when the sun came out and blazed and everyone turned towards it.
