Carl was already in bed, but not asleep, when Sven finally came in. He resisted the urge to comment on Sven’s inconsiderateness in turning on the lights without warning, and had to hide a triumphant grin when Sven went ‘Oh, sorry,’ and switched them off again. He hadn’t been bothered to close the curtains earlier, since they were a few floors up and he didn’t mind sleeping in some light, and apparently neither was Sven, who stripped down to his boxers and disappeared briefly into the bathroom.

It was nothing he hadn’t seen before, but Sven wasn’t bad to look at, and if he insisted on parading through the room half-naked, well. Girls, boys… he didn’t much care one way or the other. Admittedly, he preferred girls in general and of course Andrea in particular, but for want of either and with an attractive young bachelor in the next bed over…

He at least wouldn’t refuse if offered.
