[Aug 18] [Gundam SEED] A Little Time for Roses
Title: A Little Time for Roses
Day/Theme: Aug 19; At most, flowers
Series: Gundam SEED
Character/Pairing: Athrun Zala x Cagalli Yula Athha

i hope you like this,
milchstrasse-'neesama, because it's for you. ^_^
He brings her flowers as if following an old code of conduct. Every day he comes, four-thirty on the dot, and with him, roses. The colours vary-- some were white, some were yellow, and some were red.
The flowers annoy her, if truth be told, she thought as she gazed over the blossoms in question, lying innocently, conspicuously, on the mantel. She liked to think of herself as a practical, non-fluffy sort, who did not need flowers to be wooed-- who did not need to be wooed at all. She used to run amuck with a desert resistance group, for crying out loud-- she was most definitely not a flowers sort of person.
"Did you bring her flowers, too?" she blurted out without thinking. Athrun stared at her.
"What?"
"Did you bring her flowers, as well?" she repeated. "Lacus. Before."
".... Well. Yes," he admitted.
She scoffed. "No wonder you broke up," she said. "You're a boring sort, Athrun Zala, if that is the extent of your courtship abilities."
He smiled. "I gave her Haros, as well. Would you like it if I gave you Haros, too?"
"It would be more practical to just give me a book."
"It would be more fun if I just gave you a kiss."
And kiss her he did. And none of it mattered. And the flowers were no longer annoying. In fact, she thought as he pulled away, the flowers were quite sweet. Yes, quite sweet.
"The flowers are nice," she said. "But I'm not like Lacus."
"I'll bring chocolates next time."
