[April 22] [Card Captor Sakura] Change of Plans
Title: Change of Plans
Day/Theme: April 22 / Coming back
Series: Card Captor Sakura
Character/Pairing: Shaoran (implied Shaoran/Sakura)
Rating: G
Returning home was much harder than he had expected. It felt so strange, so different from what Shaoran had thought at the beginning.
It was supposed to be a short trip, after all. Go to Tomoeda, collect the Clow Cards, come back to Hong Kong. He hadn't even considered that it might not go that way. He had trained during all of his short life for this moment. He was the most powerful of the Lis. Surely Clow's legacy was meant to be his.
But so many things had happened in the meantime, and now he wasn't even disappointed about them anymore. The Cards – Sakura Cards, now – were in good hands. They weren't loose to cause mischief, and they wouldn't be captured by anyone with bad intentions; it didn't matter that they didn't belong to him. He knew his family wasn't going to consider it a failure. They wouldn't argue with Clow Reed's own will.
Especially when Clow's reincarnation himself had praised Shaoran's strength and growth. He would never have admitted it in front of Hiiragizawa, but that had made him feel rather proud of himself.
And yet, he still didn't want to go home.
... or, at least, not forever.
