[April 17] [Kingdom Hearts II] Even Just One Wish
Title: Even Just One Wish
Day/Theme: April 17 / As one wishes
Series: Kingdom Hearts II
Characters: Genie, Goofy
Rating: G
Genie turned flips in the air which made Goofy laugh, and that silly laugh made Genie want to be entertaining even more. He swooped down and flattened his stomach as if he were laying on a mattress -- a foot above the knight's head. "So my easily amused friend, lemme ask ya somethin'."
Goofy smiled. "Uh, sure!"
Genie's expression became mischievous. "If you could have just one wish, what would it be?"
"Uhm...hmmm..." Goofy assumed a position of deep thought, his brow furrowed and his mouth set with his tongue sticking out one corner. "Well, gawrsh, I think I would wish for, uh...for...uhm... Hmm."
"'Hmm', eh? What type of hmm? A fast hmm?" Genie conjured up a rocket-powered carpet beneath the knight. "Or a grand hmm? The carpet disappeared and the sand under Goofy rose up around him, shaping into an elaborate castle with his head protruding from the topmost tower, a tiny flag popping up on top of his hat.
Goofy laughed again. "Maybe somethin' a little different."
"Be more specific, Pacific!" A miniature sea appeared around the sand castle, waves lapping at the sides and washing away the outer walls. They grew higher -- from out of nowhere -- taking away more sand before one giant wave lurched over Goofy and washed out the whole structure at once.
The knight yelped and went sprawling. As the wave was absorbed into the dune beside him, he pulled off his boots to dump the water out. He pulled a piece of seaweed from between the toes on his right foot, then wiggled all his toes and left his boots off to dry. "Well, a-hyuck, I wouldn'ta wished fer that."
"No?" Genie tapped his chin, pondering. Three hair dryers blinked into existence and zoomed around Goofy, drying his clothes and inside his boots.
Goofy pondered, too. "How about..." He perked up. "How 'bout wishin' all the Heartless would go back where they came from?"
Genie's face fell, and not literally, either. "Sorry, Goofmeister, that's a little too big for even me."
"Aww, shucks. But it was worth a try, weren't it?" Goofy smiled, optimism clear in his eyes.
"Yeah." A grin returned to Genie's face. "So, c'mon, something else then!"
