[April 16] [Kingdom Hearts] Split-Second Choices
Title: Split-Second Choices
Day/Theme: April 16 / Time
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Characters: Sora, Donald, Goofy, some Heartless
Rating: PG
Sora swung Pumpkinhead through the gaggle of Shadows that had backed him into a corner. More than half of them were obliterated and three more disappeared on the back swing. They were small but pesky. It was easy to get bogged down by a horde of them. On the other hand it was also easy to get trapped by only a pair of Fat Bandits. Sora looked across the way to Donald and Goofy. He was alarmed to see Donald slumping to the ground with nothing more than Goofy's shield to protect them both. Goofy must have used up his potions and ether again.
And Goofy's legs were wobbling. Sora mentally measured the distance and the swarm of Shadows between him and his friends. He was low on ether himself. He could take a chance on Curing Donald from where he was or cast something that would level the field.
Then a quartet of Red Nocturnes materialized above Goofy, sparks warning of the fiery magic they were about to unleash.
Sora swung his keyblade overhead. "Stopra!" He leapt over the frozen Shadows surrounding him and dashed around the ones that had been incoming. He dove between the Fat Bandits as time resumed, thrusting his left hand upward. The Firaga Bangle on his wrist absorbed most of the attack. He ignored the spike of hair that did get singed and hastily tossed his last hi-potion at Donald. In seconds the duck was back on his feet casting Blizzara at the Red Nocturnes.
Sora gave his companions a tight grin then made his way around behind the Fat Bandits. The Shadows surged toward him again.
