[04/12/07] [Original Roleplay] Waking Up Next to You
Title: Waking Up Next to You
Day/Theme: April 12: A beautiful day
Series: Original roleplay
Character/Pairing: Tess/Darin
Rating: PG
Note: Darin is the creation of my hardcore rp buddy Kierstin. Tess is my own
The sun slanted through the blinds over the window. You could tell it was such a miserable day outside, the kind of dreadful weather that kept people indoors. The sky was gray, clouds rolling along the horizon and dumping snow on the city sidewalks outside of Darin's apartment.
Tess rolled over in bed and smiled at her favorite boy. He was quiet today, such an unusual thing for Darin to be. "Hey," she said, poking him in the side. It was something that he frequently did, waking her up when he was bored for some entertainment. "Come on pokey," she said, tickling his sides and forcing him up.
He groaned loudly. "Come on Tess. Let me sleep in."
"It's 2 o'clock," she answered. "We've already slept in."
"Guh," was the sound that came from his mouth as he covered his head with a pillow. He'd seen the snow through the windows and he didn't want to see anymore. "It's crappy out. Let's sleep all day."
"Even if it's crappy outside we can still have a good day," Tess said. "There are all kinds of things we can do to make it a good day."
He caught her innuendo and peeked out from under the pillow. "All kinds of things?" he asked hungrily.
She giggled at him and rolled her eyes. "You missed me," she affirmed.
"Ridiculously," he whispered. Every day waking up next to you is a beautiful day. He would never say so out loud, mostly because he was never so articulate, but his thought was the best compliment he could give Tess.
