When the elves had passed through last, they had been arriving. It had been their dawn in a new Age. The then young forest had been filled with their green and gold light and voices.
The forest was old now, and the elves were going back the way they had come an Age before, back to the shores. They were leaving now, cloaked in colors of twilight and mist. The evening of their time had come.
Their songs were full of farewells now, even with only the trees to hear them. Even if only the trees would remember.
