[April 8th] [D.Gray Man] "The Story of a Doll"

Once, I was beautiful and my song the pride of the town. I wore ribbons and danced in the streets. And people came from miles around to hear me sing. Entertainment was after all, my sole purpose.
Once, I was alone. Deserted by the people who made me. Lost and purposeless, I wandered the ruins of my city, singing my songs to myself, dreaming of days long past.
Once, I encountered humans. No. More than once. 5 times in all. Yet, these sought only to destroy me. “Monster!” Cried they, lashing out in fear and confusion. It seemed only a little while before they too lay still. I was alone again.
Only once, a small boy approached me. He was alone yet unafraid. His wondering eyes took in my scarred countenance and wild unkempt hair which mirrored his own.
My half a century of solitude has ended and I have an audience again. No. More than just that, Guzoru sees me as more than just a Doll that makes pleasing music. For once, I have a companion.
