“I wanted a picnic!” Nakuru pouted.

“The rain isn't my fault this time,” said Eriol.

“But you could do something about it, couldn't you?”

Spinel looked up at her, stretching under his master's caress.

“No, he couldn't,” he replied. “One can't change the weather on a whim.”

“What about last week?”

“That wasn't 'on a whim',” Eriol defended himself. “It was about Sakura. I had a good reason.”

“And I'm not a good reason?” Nakuru asked, pouting even more.

There was a moment of silence.

“Would you settle for a picnic in the garden?”

Nakuru cheered. Spinel rolled his eyes.
