Everyone ended becoming a failure. The demons and humans (half, possessed) who fought Ramza were merely killed or charmed to his side.
This will not do, Hashmalum thought as he grasped the body of the girl, still unconscious. Beneath him, the old crumbling ship rumbled followed by a distinct kind of screaming; the spirit separating from the body. Signs that he was the last thing standing between the bloody angel's revival and the people who know the truth, following their leader to their doom.

Why can't there be Salvation without sacrifices, he thought dimly, wishing he could be there to see his master rise before the darkness gathered around him, gagging from the sharp nauseating taste of his own blood, pooling beneath him. A new world. For Ajora.
