The day that the world shattered, the sky unwound like ribbons of fire and cloud to show a great darkness beyond. The angels fell like flecks of burning paper, tumbling in long looping patterns to the earth below; the Fallen rose through shattering cracks in reality, and the Matrix opened its borders to reality as it tore apart like rotten cloth.
The people looked up to Heaven to see God, and behold, the skies were void and the Throne of Creation was empty.
This was the beginning of the end of days; this was the world that was to come.
