Title: Make Believe
Day/Theme: March 27/"sometimes when the wrappings fall, there's nothing underneath at all"

Make Believe
Ennis closed his eyes and imagined. Behind his eyelids he held his fingers tightly to strong arms, could see the firelight echo off sharp planks of muscle, could remember the salty tastes of sweat and come. He anticipted Jack's awkward tangling, Jack's unaware grunts, Jack's strong but unhoned bucking.
He reached out and tried to hold those planes and planks, the grunts and dust and driving need to memory as he might have ripped off her nightgown with too much force.
Her one strangled word, "Ennis," was enough to drive home with force that under these wrapping of a woman was nothing at all. Nothing at all that he needed, anyway.
