[March 16] [GSD] Casualty Lists
Title: Casualty Lists
Day/Theme: March 16 - gods are crumbling somewhere, machines are rumbling somewhere

“Are you sure you saw it blow?”
“Yes, ma'am. The Strike Freedom was struck by a stray bullet, which had deflected off the Eternal, through the torso of the mobile suit. I believe one of the ships has the explosion caught on one of the torrent feeds, if you would like it.”
“Did he not evacuate?”
“No, ma'am, the pilot did not. We believe the stray bullet hit at such an angle to pierce the pilot station all together.”
“How sure are you of this?”
“We're attempting to recover the fragments of the mobile suit right now like you requested, ma'am, so we're still in the beginning stages. I understand that the waters are still occupied with ZAFT troops trying to pick up the Strike Freedom's pieces, too, from what I understand. Chairman Lacus apparently ordered the search the minute their troops pulled back.”
“Hand me the list.”
“Ma'am, enemy pilots are not listed on our casualty lists. You will need to consult a ZAFT list for further, more official information regarding Kira Yamato's death.”
“Is there any way we could get a hold of one of the lists?”
“I believe we can. Chairman Lacus is a rather merciful opponent, and, considering you have personal ties with her and Kira Yamato, I'm sure she would be more than happy to send one when it is compiled.”
“Please see to it that we get one in a timely fashion.”
“Yes, ma'am.”
“Dismissed.” Her chest heaves in pain and her fingers twist and claw at the leather arm of her desk chair. She hides her face with her stray hand.
