He’d liked Luppi. Liked him a lot, actually. Kid had had a brain in his head, and hadn’t taken risks without thinking them through first like the former number six. Luppi had been good about serving Aizen, Gin thought. That, and he’d been mighty decent at holding a conversation. Unafraid of talking about gore or anything, that’s what he’d been.
Maybe a little too unafraid. Wound up with a second hole in him, poor thing. Grimmjow had been more than a little ruthless.
But Luppi had always been a subordinate. He’d been glad to serve, but the time had come when his usefulness had ended. He’d been taken care of in the only way that would’ve done justice to his hard work.
Subordinates were expendable, whether they were Shinigami or Arrancar.
Was still a bit sad to see the little torture go.
But Gin was good at recovering fast.
