Title: Girlfriend
Day/Theme: February 14 -- three aspects of one whole
Series: Genshiken
Character/Pairing: Mostly Madarame and Saki

Madarame sat at the head of the table, leading the discussion yet again despite earlier attempts to get a life. Kasukabe sat next to him, clearly attempting to look as bored as possible. She must have had another fight with Kohsaka, who sat at the other end of the table in his usual cheerful obliviousness. But she, of course, wasn't going to stop keeping an eye on her boyfriend. Madarame shook his head and began the discussion.
"So, finally now we've seen Walter in action."
Kasukabe yawned. "We already saw that. He's the one who's about ninety years old, right?"
"I'm speaking of Walter in his current form," Madarame replied. He spoke sharply, but actually he was surprised that she had any idea who Walter was.
"I liked Old Walter better," said Ohno shyly.
"You would," said Kasukabe. But she spoke in a kind tone and Ohno just laughed.
"Well, he was more like seventy than ninety, wasn't he? And he still is, he just doesn't look it. But... I don't know, he had dignity!" Ohno was almost blushing.
Others were nodding, but Madarame crossed his arms over his chest. "I prefer Walter evil and destructive."
"He -- he was already destructive. Even Young Walter," stuttered Kugayama.
"Young Walter? Did I miss that part?" asked Kasukabe.
"I thought you missed the whole thing," muttered Madarame. "You're always asleep when the anime is showing."
"Like I care!" she shouted at him.
Meanwhile, Ohno was pushing an opened copy of Young King OURs toward Kasukabe, who picked it up with a skeptical expression.
"That's him? I guess he was kind of hot when he was young," she admitted grudgingly.
The entire room was staring.
"Did you just call a manga character hot?" asked Madarame.
She threw down the book as if it were in fire. "No!" But she was still looking at it. "What's his girlfriend's name?"
"He hasn't got a girlfriend, what kind of manga do you think this is?" asked Madarame, hoping she didn't remember the infamous kissing scene herself. "That's Alucard!"
"Well, he was cute back when he was a girl," said Kasukabe.
Everyone was laughing now, even Kasukabe herself. There was no point in restoring order, and finally Madarame just joined in.
