[15-08-05] [Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle] Look
Title: Look
Day/Theme: 15 August/Air and Stars
Series:Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle
Character/Pairing: Fai, Kurogane, Syaoran--Fai/Kurogane
Rating: G
Notes: It's sort of crap because I haven't really felt like writing much lately. If you'd like to watch me get back on the horse, follow the cut.
Fai watches Kurogane like Kurogane knows everything. Syaoran has seen it happen in world after world after world. He likes to look for it now because it’s comforting in some strange and stupid way. It happens like this: They arrive. Kurogane takes stock. Kurogane strides off into the crowd like he owns the place. Fai looks at Kurogane like Kurogane knows every secret beneath the Sun and Moon.
Of course, when Kurogane turns around after only five paces or so Fai has already taken the look away and stored it for their next world.
Syaoran thinks he should say something. To which one, he isn’t sure.
Because Kurogane watches Fai like Fai knows everything and is hiding it somewhere that Kurogane just does not want to go. Syaoran sees it all the time. The new world will have something strange, maybe a lot of things strange, and Fai will wade right in to it, enjoying it. Kurogane then looks at Fai like Fai knows every secret held in the air and stars.
Of course, when Fai finally turns around to invite Kurogane closer Kurogane has already covered that look with wariness and resignation.
Syaoran wants to say something, sometimes. But the Sun and the Moon and the Air and the Stars all share space, so he thinks maybe they already know the other is out there but they’re too afraid to collide.
