Peorth warily sidled up to Urd and Skuld. In a failed attempt to be inconspicuous, she was wearing an oversized trench-coat, a fedora, and a cheap pair of Groucho Marx glasses.

Urd raised an eyebrow. "Peorth, what—"

"SSHHH!!" Peorth hissed. "I 'ave received la lettre de cachet. Eet ees for ze best eef you pretend not to be knoweeng me."

"Ohhhh-kay," said Urd.

"And now," Peorth said, sneaking away, "I must forge le passport, and transfaire ze funds to le secret Swiss banque accounts."

"I wonder what Peorth did to deserve exile," Skuld said.

"The possibilities are endless," Urd noted.
