Sakura had given her a little folded crane earlier in the day made of rose-red paper laced with gold. Corrin turned it over and over in her hands, fighting the urge to unfold it and see if she could follow the creases to make it again herself.
It would better to learn to fold her own, she supposed, than risk ruining a gift.
Corrin put in on a shelf beside other gifts, touching them all gently with her fingertips.
She'd been unfolded, she realized, and needed--
She needed both of her families, and all her friends, to fold herself anew.
