[Aug 2] [Eternal Sabbath] The Spinning Moral Compass

Title: The Spinning Moral Compass
Series: Eternal Sabbath
Character/Pairing: Akiba (Shuro)
Rating: PG

Akiba remembers learning about right and wrong, about philosophy and physics, about life. It was through learning about it that he realized would never have the chance to really live it. And now that he has lived outside of his bubble to an extent, he knows right of his own accord. He knows Kujou-san. He knows her passionate beliefs, and her struggle to live by them. He knows wrong as well. He knows Izaku’s thirst for revenge and the rage that boils within him.

The teachers that coddled Akiba excitedly with pretty words and postulates never taught him about this; about preparing himself to kill his only family. He knows a little about responsibility and thinks that perhaps Izaku is his mistake to correct, but then he can’t reconcile the idea of any living thing being a mistake. He thinks it is probably Kujou-san who taught him that.

He wonders if he will feel guilt this time. Sakaki-san will most likely tell him it is justifiable homicide. He wonders if killing the doctor, who both created him and tortured him with every thought, was justifiable. He will have to ask Kujou-san, once this is over. Once the child created from his blood is dead.

damn...right at the bell... does it still count?
