Title: Of His Own Making
Day/Theme: March 29, 2013 "each of us has heaven and hell in him"
Series: Fullmetal Alchemist

Rating: PG
A man (any man) is the ultimate decider of his own happiness or unhappiness. How does he react to any given situation? Does he allow others to faze him? No one else controls what you do or how you feel. Therefore, you are the creator of your own heaven and your own hell.
The deserts of Ishval are a burning, sun-soaked paradise. Your throat is dry, but your spirit is quenched. Your ears ring with the music of your orchestra. You can overlook the small flaws of the location and scenario- the scorpions, the lackluster coffee, the scoffing of the soldiers beneath you- it all pales, it fades to nothing in the light of the beauty you create here everyday.
Then there's prison. Not hell, not for you, but a sort of limbo. Solitude grants you time for thinking. Memory provides a lovely backing track.
And your return to freedom- you have no complaints about that either.
You will see every situation in way that it to your advantage. You will put on a smile for all but the worst of troubles. You will rise above it all, because you are a survivor-
When that pipe goes through your torso is another story.
