[August 2] [MARS] A School of Morality
Title: A School of Morality
Day/Theme: August 2 - a school of morality
Series: MARS
Character/Pairing: Rei (Rei/Kira)
Rating: PG
Of the time before, he remembers only a few things.
He remembers nights stretching long and dark until morning breaks, cold and bright. (He doesn’t really remember what he did all those long nights)
He remembers women (some beautiful, some pretty, most he cannot remember) dipping into his arms and then disappearing in the next breath.
He remembers fighting until his knuckles bleed, until he can taste blood in his mouth, until the world swirls black with pain and then stained sticky and red.
He also remembers the shriek of his motorcycle as he teases death tearing down the streets.
(he doesn’t think of his twin, he doesn’t think, doesn’t, doesn’t)
These days, all he can think of is Kira.
He thinks of the fragile curve of her wrists.
He thinks of the taste of her lips (he can’t stop thinking of that).
He thinks of her laughter (and tilts his head to hear it).
He thinks of the sun dancing in her hair (and laughs at himself for being so corny).
He thinks of her eyes and remembers that he can die.
