Rating: PG-13
Kusama Nowaki was exhausted. The construction site job was killing his back and then right after that he had to go to a local restaurant to wait tables and if it wasn't the restaurant, it was the flower shop. Nowaki sighed as he unlocked the door to his apartment. It was small... barely anything there. A tiny stove and mini fridge along with some cabinets lined the wall, small table pressed into the corner and a futon on the floor.
It was enough for him and he had plenty of money to save for schooling and donating to the orphanage... everything worked out. He walked over to his futon, gently peeling away his shirt, folding it and laying it by another set of folded clothes and doing his pants in a similar fashion.
He glanced at the clock near his futon. He would have went to his lover's place, but it was too late. Yes, Kamijou Hiroki would not be happy if his 19-year-old love just happened to show up in the middle of the night, waking him up from some well deserved sleep. Besides, he could always go visit his Hiro-san in the morning. He slipped into his futon, sighing heavily as his eyelids closed.
He would have gone to sleep had it not been for the knock that roused him back up. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and padded over to the door. Who on earth would be knocking this late at night? He peered through the peephole and his eyes widened.
He pulled the door open to reveal a glaring Hiroki.
“Hiro-san...”
“It's about time you opened! Do you know how hard it is to find your place!?”
“... I'm sorry Hiro-san, I... I wasn't expecting you.”
Hiroki glanced around his apartment, a brow raising at the small space, but he didn't say anything. He merely looked back at his lover, brow furrowing. “I just thought maybe something was wrong.”
“Eh?”
“You usually come over and bother me for a while, so you didn't show and I...”
A smile made it's place on Nowaki's face as he watched Hiroki fidget. It was obvious the other man had missed his company. He glanced around... it wasn't a mess, but he felt as if he should offer something. “Can I get you anything to drink? Water? Tea?”
Hiroki shook his head. “No, I'm good... how about hitting the hay?”
Suddenly Nowaki felt nervous. He didn't mind having Hiroki sleep in his futon, but it would be the first time the man slept with him in his apartment. He gently got back into his futon, watching Hiroki shed off his clothes, leaving only his boxers and got in beside his lover. Nowaki wrapped his arms around the man, breathing in his scent.
Hiroki flushed and stared straight into the wall. The feeling of Nowaki's chest rising and falling made his eyes feel heavy and the comforting heat of Nowaki breathing on the back of his neck caused his muscles to relax. He was beginning to nod off when something not so comfortable began poking him in the lower back. His eyes snapped open and an embarrassed, yet angry, flush rose upon his cheeks as he glared over his shoulder at his lover in the dark.
Nowaki laughed gently. “I'm sorry Hiro-san...”
Hiroki sighed, rolling over so he was atop of Nowaki, whose eyes widened as their hips met. Hiroki whispered to him in a semi-angry tone. “Let's just fix the problem, okay?”
–
Three times... Hiroki groaned as he rolled over in the now empty futon. He and Nowaki had done it three times in that cramped futon. He blew a piece of hair out of his face and he glared over at the clock. For now on, Nowaki would definitely have to come to his place... even if it felt nice to be right up against his lover as they fell asleep and feel his breathing... they could do that in his bed. Where they wouldn't be cramped.
(THE END)
Notes: I came up with this idea because we never see Nowaki's place during the 6 years that the Ego pair are dating. And if Nowaki didn't actually live in an apartment (where in the world did he live then =/), then consider this an AU.
