[Mar 18] [Junjou Romantica] A Beautiful Afternoon
Title: A Beautiful Afternoon
Author:
deecherrywolf
Day/Theme: Mar 18 / weave, weave sunlight in your hair
Series: Junjou Romantica
Character/Pairing: Miyagi/Risako... kind of.
The one thing Miyagi could say he and Risako both enjoyed together, was their walks in the park on a nice day. It wasn't so much the walking or the park itself, but the fact that silence surrounded them and it was peaceful. In the beginning they would have talked and really got to know each other. Miyagi had always enjoyed gazing at his wife in the sun. Her strawberry-blondish locks looked radiant in the sun, and it really brought out her beauty.
And though he did enjoy being with his wife, the talking stopped and the walks through the park became silent, and soon... the feelings Miyagi had once thought he was beginning to feel, or could possibly feel, were beginning to shatter. He enjoyed his wife, he liked her... but he could never love her... and the truth of that slapped him in his face. Could he bear to do this to Risako?
But on one of their final walks, Risako turned to him, eyes cold, but that radiant sunlight all around her. “Yoh, I don't think this is going to work out.”
The words didn't hurt, but seeing her stand there, the sunlight illuminating her, as it usually did. Her beauty shining through, but something was a bit off today... perhaps it was the brokenhearted, yet cold, look on her face that tried to delude him into believing she was fine. He didn't say anything, but they walked back together, in silence... and Miyagi could only hope that one day she would find the man that could truly appreciate her...
(THE END)
A/N: Ooookay, I literally took the idea from the poem this time and in case anyone is lazy to look at 31_days March themes post to see it, here is is-
Stand on the highest pavement of the stair
Lean on a garden urn
Weave, weave the sunlight in your hair
Clasp your flowers to you with a pained surprise
Fling them to the ground and turn
With a fugitive resentment in yours:
But weave, weave the sunlight in your hair
-T.S. Eliot
Of course I didn't take all of the poem, just the part from the theme... and yeah. I took of it what I wanted :3
And you could consider this AU, because I obviously don't know if Miyagi/Risako took walks in the park together *snort* lolol
