[January 8th] [Sonic the Hedgehog] Twilight Glimmer

His golden eyes reflected the silver moon, reflecting the cold isolation that surrounded him.

No one remembered the flames that burned the city to disrepair and hopelessness. No one remembered the daily struggle, the fight.

All but him, and the girl who died with them.

Sure, the fire was gone and the world acted as if it never happened at all. In fact... it had never happened at all.

He'd poured over history files over the computer once he'd realized he had two sets of memories.

Sonic the Hedgehog, the Iblis Trigger...

He had never met Princess Elise, and the tragedy caused by Doctor Eggman... It just hadn't happened.

Silver shuddered as he continued to stare at the moon, the sky slowly turning from a deep blue-black into purple.

'Blaze... what happened to you? If you sealed Iblis... then... why aren't you here, if the flames of disaster were erased?'

He felt a hand grab his own and squeeze it gently, "It's ok Silver, you'll find her someday. I just know you will."

The hand let go and he heard the soft padding of shoes hitting pavement wistfully, and there in front of him appeared Amy, walking with her hands behind her back and smiling at the moon. He knew she had a smile on her face. "I never gave up on Sonic, Silver, so..." She turned and looked at him with that look she always had when talking about her blue hero, "So don't you ever give up, either."

Silver nodded in renewed determination, "Ok, Amy..."

The moon lowered and slowly disappeared, and soon enough, the pink hedgehog was gone in a blink of an eye, a breeze fluttering past him in a manner that he had barely begun to recognize during his stay in the past.

The young hedgehog turned away from the sunrise, "...Thanks."
