Water is something that must flow, he had told her once.

 

It was a most suitable parable for the couple of magicians, Yuuko mused on a lonely night. Their love had been much like the same, often ranging from soft, harmonious waters to more powerful, furious torrents, though beautiful at all times. No matter how far from the source, every single droplet was linked to it, and even as the stream ran into the sea, it did not meet a definite end; it simply transformed and became anew.

 

                  Just like the river’s flow, it was ever changing, though never ending.
